Shadow Kitchen x Dirt Child

Many months ago we hit up poetry journal Dirt Child with an idea: what if we set up a handful of poets and filmmakers in sort of blind date pairs and asked them to collaborate?  We left the contours of the collaboration up to each pair, setting only a time limit (8 minutes max) and let them go wild.  What will the films look like?  What will they sound like?  How did each pair approach the project?  All will be revealed next week at Shadow Kitchen!

Join us Thursday 7:00 PM (2/02/23) at Coaxial for a screening of new commissioned collaborative works.

ABOUT DIRT CHILD Dirt Child is an independent press based out of LA and NYC, focused on poetry, short fiction, and multimedia art that emphasizes experimentation and collaborative approaches. We publish an annual anthology of collected work from both a period of open submission and solicitation, and recently printed our first single-author collection of poetry, Good for Her. Our goal is to promote connectivity within the literary and visual arts, and create a generative, communal space.

TLDR; we love poems we love to have fun!
