Animation Spring Mix: a super bloom of eight animated short films made by Los Angeles-based interdisciplinary artists.

These works demonstrate the visually diverse nature of animation made by filmmakers with tactile backgrounds in painting, illustration and sculpture. Whether the films are non-fiction, observational, or revealing the surreal and emotional world behind the veil of everyday experience, they are painstakingly created frame by frame. These are unique and tender films blending hand-drawn, painted, printed, digital and collaged storytelling forms.
